- Switch off your android device by power off button.
- If, you are not able to switch it off, than remove the battery to shut it down.
- Now, there are some different options for different devices.
For Samsung devices :
- Press “Volume UP + Power key + Home key” at same time.
- You are booted into recoveries.
For other devices like Micromax, Sony :
- Press “Volume Down + Power key” at same time.
- You are booted into recovery of your android mobile.
- Now, you will find an option like – Wipe Data or Delete all user data or Restore factory defaults.
- Use, volume buttons to switch UP and Down and Use Home key or Power key to select any option.
- So, just move to wipe data or similar option and Select it by power button.
- Now, Tap on Reboot phone.

Method to boot in Recovery:
- For Samsung Smartphones: You can boot into stock recovery by pressing Volume Up Button + Home + Power key at same time.
- For other brand smartphones: You can boot into recovery in other brand smartphones like HTC, Micromac, Lava, Sony and some other brands by pressing Volume Up + Power Key.
You can do a Google Search to find method to boot into stock recovery or find it at XDA Forums.
So, Now comes method to reset pattern lock without losing data in android mobile.
- First of all, Download Aroma File Manager from here.
- Now, Paste it into your memory card or internal memory if you have downloaded this file from Computer.
- Now, Boot into Stock recovery using above method which we have listed.
- Now, A black or blue interface will come. Touch Screen will not work here, So you have to use Volume Keys to scroll.
- Now, Select Install ZIP from SD Card.
- Now, Select the ZIP file of Aroma Manager which we have downloaded earlier.
- In Aroma File Manager settings, Enable “Automount all device on start”.
- Now, Go to Data folder, Now find system folder and open it.
- Now, Find file named gesture.key and Delete it.
Now, Simply restart your device and you have successfully reset the pattern lock of android mobile without any kind of data loss.
