Method 2) Check out User Account Settings

  1. First of all, Open RUN by Pressing Windows + R.
  2. Now, type regedit in the box and Click OK.
  3. Now, Follow this path : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlStorageDevicePolicies
  4. Now, Click on WriteProtect twice.
  5. Just, change value from 1 to 0 and Click on OK.
  6. Eject your Pen Drive and Restart your Computer.

Method 5) Disable write protected error by CMD:

If none of above method works for you, then this is last and one of most effective method to fix write protected error by altering the disk attributes.

  1. Open RUN and type CMD.
  2. Now type DISKPART and Press Enter.
  3. Enter LIST VOLUME and Press Enter again.
  4. Now, type SELECT VOLUME A,where A is the volume Label.
  5. Type ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR READOMLY, and disk write protection will be disabled.
  6. Now, type EXIT and Press Enter.
