Crypto Bear Market Showing Signs of Reversal — Could Dogecoin Rally Next?

After a long stretch in the red, the crypto bear market may finally be turning a corner. Bitcoin has broken through $61,000 again, and meme coin Dogecoin could be poised to ride a new wave of enthusiasm.

Cryptocurrency traders are watching closely as leading digital assets tick higher in a market that’s showing fresh signs of life. Bitcoin briefly crossed $61,000 recently, retraced, then surged back to around $61,400. Ethereum made moves towards $17, and even XRP and Dogecoin posted gains amid recent market volatility.

The renewed strength comes as Federal Reserve officials express concerns about inflation staying above their 2% target—fueling uncertainty in stock markets but reigniting optimism in crypto circles. Over $450 million in liquidations shook the crypto space recently, wiping out mostly short positions, which hints at shifting sentiment.

Looking closely at Bitcoin’s chart, a pattern emerges when comparing the current bear market to the previous cycle from 2021 to 2022. Both markets saw declines from roughly October through to June before entering an accumulation phase that ultimately led to significant price rallies. Back then, prices surged from around $15,000 to nearly $126,000—a near tenfold increase.

While replication isn’t guaranteed, these historical cycles offer hope that the current market hit bottom around June and is now moving into accumulation, where investors quietly build their holdings before a new uptrend begins.

The idea of Bitcoin skyrocketing again might sound far-fetched to some. After all, institutional involvement and market maturity now make such leaps tougher than in earlier years. But history shows crypto markets are cyclical, and dismissing a future bull run as impossible seems shortsighted.

Dogecoin, the well-known meme coin, is especially interesting in this context. Often riding waves of extreme greed and speculation, Dogecoin has lagged since 2024 but could outpace many major altcoins when investor enthusiasm returns. The last phase of market euphoria, often referred to as “greed,” is what could unlock Dogecoin’s full rally potential.

Long-term investors might want to consider accumulating selectively during this potential accumulation phase. Diversifying across assets—Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and promising altcoins involved in innovative blockchain projects—remains a prudent approach. For example, Bitcoin Hyper is gaining attention for building layer-two blockchain solutions that could play a role in the next cycle.

Markets will ultimately decide the trajectory, but the ingredients for a bullish turn are appearing. Crypto traders and enthusiasts paying attention now might be positioning themselves ahead of the next significant move.
