Crypto Bear Market May Be Ending as Dogecoin Eyes Gains

The crypto bear market might finally be showing signs of fading, with Dogecoin and other major coins inching higher. Could this be the start of a new bullish cycle after months of decline? The shifting charts and market moves have investors talking.

Is the Crypto Downturn Fading?

Recently, several leading cryptocurrencies have posted gains while traditional stocks pulled back, stirred by comments from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh highlighting persistent inflation concerns.

Bitcoin, for one, flirted with breaking through the $61,000 mark, retreating briefly but climbing back quickly, currently hovering around $61,400. Ethereum also advanced into the mid-$16,000 range, touching $17,000 at points, while altcoins like XRP and Dogecoin were among the day’s winners.

Market volatility remains, however. More than $450 million was liquidated in the last 24 hours alone, with short positions worth $279 million wiped out according to CoinGlass data. Despite this turbulence, there’s growing chatter that the worst might be behind the crypto markets.

Looking at bitcoin’s weekly price chart reveals a pattern that suggests the current bear market—stretching back from late 2025 until mid-2026—is mirroring the timeline of the previous one between late 2021 and mid-2022. Both periods saw downturns lasting roughly eight months from October to June.

What Could This Mean for Investors?

While history doesn’t repeat perfectly, the previous bear market transitioned into an accumulation phase where prices stabilized before gradually ascending. Bitcoin went from about $15,000 during the previous trough to reaching nearly $126,000 at its next peak — a nearly 10x increase.

If a similar trajectory unfolds this time, the current low could mark the start of a steady climb upwards. But it’s crucial to remember that replicating those 2021 gains will be more challenging given the higher starting point and the increased need for institutional investment.

Where Does Dogecoin Fit In?

Dogecoin has been along for the ride throughout these cycles. As a meme coin, it thrives during heightened market enthusiasm—something that’s been absent since extreme greed last swept through in 2024.

When that greed returns, Dogecoin could see its price movements accelerate even faster than Bitcoin or Ethereum, making it a coin to watch closely if you’re considering diversifying your crypto holdings.

Ultimately, success in this market might come down to timing your accumulation during these quieter phases before the next bull run heats up.
