Is the Crypto Bear Market Ending? Dogecoin Set to Rise Soon

After months of decline, the crypto market is showing signs that the bear run might be over. Bitcoin has bounced above $61,000, and Dogecoin could be poised for a sharp rise as market dynamics shift.

Bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies nudged higher recently, even as stocks pulled back on concerns over persistent inflation. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s comments that inflation remains too high shook markets, yet Bitcoin climbed back above $61,000, hinting at renewed strength. Ethereum pushed into the mid-$16,000s, touching $17,000 briefly, and altcoins like XRP and Dogecoin also gained ground.

This uptick coincides with a massive shakeout in the crypto futures market—over $450 million was liquidated within a day, including $279 million in wiped-out short positions according to CoinGlass data. Such volatility often signals a shift in market sentiment.

Looking closely at Bitcoin’s weekly charts, there’s a striking pattern emerging. The current bear market started around October-November last year and may have hit its low in June this year. This mirrors the 2021-2022 bear market timeframe, which also spanned from October to June. Back then, after an extended period of accumulation and sideways trading, Bitcoin surged dramatically—from around $15,000 to an eye-popping $126,000, nearly a 10-fold increase.

While history won’t repeat perfectly, this time could follow a similar trajectory. If Bitcoin has indeed bottomed, it may be entering an accumulation phase with potential for steady and substantial growth. Of course, going from current levels to a tenfold increase is more challenging now given the larger market, but the pattern offers hope to investors.

Going further back to the 2017 bull run reveals a comparable cycle: a sell-off, a period of accumulation, and then a soaring bull market. Many skeptics wonder if such a cycle could happen again. But why assume the bull run won’t return? The probability seems slimmer than Bitcoin hitting $500,000 outright.

Dogecoin, often dismissed as a meme coin, tends to ride major market waves. It thrives during phases of extreme greed—something we haven’t seen since 2024. When that mood swings back, Dogecoin could outpace not only Bitcoin but also Ethereum and other altcoins in gains. This makes it a wild-card asset for those looking beyond the mainstream cryptocurrencies.

That said, caution remains essential. None of these trends are guaranteed, and anyone interested should diversify their portfolio thoughtfully. Some newer projects, like Bitcoin Hyper, are drawing attention for building promising layer-two blockchain solutions, hinting at fresh innovation in the crypto space.

For investors wondering if now’s the time to accumulate, the charts suggest the worst may be behind us. The biggest opportunity could lie in patience during this accumulation period, setting the stage for the next extraordinary chapter of crypto’s story.
