Is the Crypto Bear Market Finally Turning? Why Dogecoin Could Rally Soon

After a long stretch of bearish sentiment, the crypto market is showing fresh signs of life. Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and surprisingly, Dogecoin, are leading the charge higher amid growing optimism that the crypto winter may be thawing.

Crypto Markets Push Higher Amid Inflation Concerns

The latest shifts in cryptocurrency prices are giving traders something to smile about. While traditional stocks pulled back following Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s comments about inflation being too high, leading cryptocurrencies nudged upward.

Bitcoin briefly broke above $61,000 before a slight pullback, but it’s quickly reclaiming that level, currently sitting around $61,400. Ethereum edged into the mid-$16,000s, flirting with $17,000, while XRP and Dogecoin followed suit with notable gains.

Echoes from Previous Bear Markets Hint at a Turning Point

Examining Bitcoin’s weekly charts reveals a compelling pattern. The current bear market started around October or November 2025 and bottomed in June 2026. Remarkably, a similarly timed bear market occurred from late 2021 to mid-2022. These parallel timelines suggest we may now be entering an accumulation phase—an often quiet period before prices start to climb again.

This bears resemblance to the 2021-2022 cycle where, after a sideways drift, Bitcoin steadily rose from about $15,000 to an astonishing $126,000. While history doesn’t guarantee a repeat, it’s a scenario currently playing out in the charts.

Why Dogecoin Could Outpace Other Cryptocurrencies

Unlike Bitcoin or Ethereum, meme coins like Dogecoin thrive on market enthusiasm building during periods of extreme greed—a phenomenon absent since 2024. Should that euphoria return, Dogecoin could spike faster than its more established peers.

Investors should remember the speculative nature of meme coins and diversify wisely. Still, considering Dogecoin’s history of surging alongside market bullishness, it’s a coin to watch if the accumulation phase transitions into a fresh bull run.

Is Another Bull Market Inevitable?

There are voices doubting a new bull market will arrive. But given Bitcoin’s resilience and cyclical nature, dismissing another rise seems harder to believe than Bitcoin reaching a hypothetical $500,000. The key for investors right now is patient accumulation during this quieter phase in the market.

As always, no forecast carries guarantees. But if the crypto cycles of the past provide any hint, the downturns are often the prelude to some of the most dramatic gains.
