Is the Crypto Bear Market Ending? Dogecoin Could Rally Soon

The crypto market is stirring. After months of bearish pressure, Bitcoin and Dogecoin are showing tentative signs of life. Could this be the bottom before the next surge?

Headlines about the crypto bear market ending are always welcome, especially in trying times. But there’s a cautionary note — many analysts speak with confidence about future moves, when really, only time will tell. This discussion focuses on Dogecoin alongside heavyweights like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP.

Interestingly, the Federal Reserve’s stance is a backdrop to recent market moves. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh emphasized that inflation remains too high, sparking a retreat in stocks even as leading cryptocurrencies nudged upward. Bitcoin momentarily broke past $61,000 before pulling back slightly, yet quickly reclaimed around $61,400. Ethereum edged nearer to $17, while XRP and Dogecoin also saw gains.

Bitcoin’s price action reveals a pattern worth examining. The current bear market—from late 2025 to mid-2026—mirrors the last bear cycle from late 2021 to mid-2022, both running roughly October through June. Past behavior shows a distinct accumulation phase after the decline, followed by a steady climb that saw Bitcoin jump from $15,000 to nearly $126,000—a roughly 10x increase.

Of course, past performance isn’t an assurance. Yet if Bitcoin follows a similar cycle this time, it could mark the bottom and signal the start of accumulation. Even if the rise isn’t as astronomic this round, institutional interest would likely have to grow significantly to drive it upward.

Looking back even further, the 2017 bull market paints a familiar picture: a bear market with an accumulation phase, then a sharp, rewarding run-up. Some skeptics claim the upcoming bull run won’t happen, but is it reasonable to insist this would be the only era where a bull market fails to return? Evidence to the contrary feels stronger.

Dogecoin is especially intriguing. As a meme coin, it thrives during extreme greed phases—which haven’t been seen since 2024. When such sentiment returns, Dogecoin can rocket past major cryptocurrencies in speed and scale. This could make it a prime candidate for rapid gains if the market heats up again.

For those interested in crypto accumulation, diversifying remains critical. Some optimism also surrounds emerging projects like Bitcoin Hyper, which is developing layer two blockchains and gaining attention for innovation in the space.

So, what’s next? Patience, observation, and strategic accumulation could be the keys if history repeats. The crypto bear market may be inching toward its end, but navigating it will require a steady eye and cautious optimism.
