15 Exciting New Games Revealed at Gamescom 2026

Gamescom 2026 has dropped a bounty of surprises with 15 fresh game announcements that promise to shake up the gaming world. From atmospheric isometric adventures to remasters of fan favourites, there’s plenty to dig into if you’re hungry for new experiences.

Isometric Games Make a Strong Comeback

One of the most striking trends at Gamescom 2026 is the resurgence of isometric gameplay. Starting with the intriguing Dust Origins, developed by Airship Syndicate, known for titles like Bad Chasers: Night War and Darksiders: Genesis. This new title swaps fantasy for sci-fi, plunging players into a spaceship setting with twin-stick shooting mechanics. What’s refreshing is its focus on a single-player experience, steering clear from the grind-heavy structure common in many crowdfunding projects. However, promotional silence about its Kickstarter hints that we probably won’t see more of it for some time.

Following closely is Mura, another isometric title throwing players into warped fairy tale worlds. With a hack-and-slash vibe reminiscent of Kingdom Hearts but with its own quirky twist, the game promises fast-paced combat wrapped in expressive art and animation styles. This one is also expected in 2027.
